Mental Health First Aid Certificate Program

This program provides participants with a clear understanding of Mental Health and defines the symptoms, causes and evidence-based treatments for the common mental Health Programs of :
* Depression
* Anxiety Disorders
* Psychosis
* Substance Use Disorder
This MHFA program also addresses the possible crisis situations arising from mental health problems and steps to help. These include: suicidal tendencies; panic attacks, trauma; acute psychosis, violent behaviour and overdose.
Participants receive a course manual and also a certificate at the completion of the course.

* Prevalence of Mental Health Problems
* Understand different attitudes to mental illness - Stigma and Discrimination
* Identify the signs and symptoms of prevalent mental health problems
* Gain awareness of the causes of mental illness
* Understground including -working with disadvantaged youth, people with Mental Health issues , addiction issues, and HSA. Rachel's down to earth attitude and life experience will provide you with a practical and interactive training experience
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Behavioural Sciences (Honours).
Bachelor of Social Work Cert1V in Training and Assessment and currently studying Master in Counselling
