Hobsons Bay NILS - No Interest Loan Scheme

Hobsons Bay NILS is a community-managed microfinance initiative that will provide small loans to people on low incomes in Hobsons Bay for the purchase of essential household and personal goods and services. Loans are made without interest, fees or charges, and repayments are recycled to provide further loans to other members of the community.
TRAINING DAY
If you would like to be part of this No Interest Loan Scheme, there will be a free Training Session held at the Louis Joel Centre. The principles of the Scheme will be explained and the working procedures will be demonstrated.

The focus will be on the roles of
INTAKE WORKER/INTERVIEWER, and
LOAN ASSESSMENT COMMITTEE MEMBER
Involvement would require no more than a few hours a month and no-one will be asked to work alone - there will be plenty of support at every level.
It is a brilliant scheme where a small effort can make a big, positive difference to people's lives. Please come and see how YOU can help make it happen!
